Reign of Tonir

Around It Is

Deciding that those paths were fruitless to attempt again, the group traveled North, along the mountains, for Davaik told them there was another mountain pass where the monastery he trained at was.

So they once again lived of the land for a few days until they reached the path Davaik told them of. They reached the monastery and knocked on the back gate. No answer.

So they went around to the front gate and knocked. Still no answer. So they broke through and found the monastery overgrown with bushes and completely abandoned.

They started traveling to the main building when one of the plants shot thorns at them. All of the bushes turned out to be archer bushes.

After dispatching the bushes, they explored and didn’t find a hint of Davaik’s monk brothers and sisters. Nor of the head monk.

After seeing there wasn’t anything they could do here, they continued. Through the rest of the pass and down south-easterly, for that is where Moris, Ssearth’s contact, was supposed to be.

Right where they had killed the drow.

Traveling Over The Mountians... or Under

Upon reaching the mountain pass over the mountains to Edenia, they traveled it. And ran into the Knights of Obscurity. Uncas and Cyrus recognized the ensignia on their tabards. That same tree wreathed in fog was on the tabards of the four knights they bested the day they met.

Knights barred their path, so they went to the path that went through the mountains.

It was dark, and when they were about a quarter of the way through, they saw a Legionairre. It was a drow taking notes on the blocked passage. The drow started asked where Balin got her slippers and Uncas got his sash. Then said she was going to have to confiscate it.

That’s when Cyrus and Uncas rushed the drow, downing the cleric before she could react properly. The group took some of the boulders from the cave-in to make it look as though she had been crushed by them.

They decided to try to go through one of the cave openings that had been created during the cave-in.

Found scrappings of different animals. Followed some ’til it lead to Cave Scorpions.

Turned around and realized they weren’t 100% sure which fork they had come from. In any case, they continued onwards, exploring and finding another cave scorpion nest.

With it being late and being weary from battling, they decided to rest in the cave.

Departure

Having left the castle behind, they decided to continue on towards Edenia. They traveled through the forest to avoid confrontation with the Legion. They traveled for near a week, with Balin and Uncas supplying sustenance for the group hunting and foraging in the forest.

Apparition's Warning

The rain had increased over the night.

The entered the castle again, although this time the ominous presence seemed to be gone.

They lowered Uncas down the pit with some rope.

Darker darkness.

Haunted Castle

After a three day journey, they were close. They approached the castle, and an apparition appeared, apparently warning them. They continued onwards.
As predicted, it started to sprinkle.

They approached. Door knocker of a gargoyle mouth.

When attempted to knock, knocker bit.

After entering, it was dark, and upon entering, there was a palpable, ominous presence.

Large pit was detected 60’ from the entrance.
